This is a Mikami fanmix, made at [livejournal.com profile] diluted_thought's request, at this meme. I stole the beautiful picture I'm using here from [livejournal.com profile] viola_canina, and I edited it slightly to serve my purposes. If she minds, she's more than welcome to tell me to take it down, but anyway, credit goes to her! This mix focuses primarily on his post-Kira ruin, but I tried to get some songs that related to his general personality, and his life before everything came to a crashing halt in the Yellowbox Warehouse, too. There's also a lulzy bonus track. Enjoy!

Aw, I know. But he does have his so-called "Sakuji-gasms."

I'm going to embarrass myself by posting this week's contest entry later x___x

Yes, the sakujogasms are how he releases his sexual frustration. XD;

It's supposed to be bad. Seriously. Make it as terrible as humanly possible, that's the point. It's not embarrassing if you're just following the prompt, you obviously can write well if you try to!

I recognize a few of those, yay for me! :D
Huge high ficve for the choice of the Johnny Cash song. That song is made of win and really fits Mikami.

Thank you! :D I adore that Johnny Cash song, and I'd always meant to make it into an AMV, but then I lost my ability to actually make them, so I never got around to it. *shrug* Oh well. I'm glad you think it fits. Which other ones did you recognize?

That sucks, though I seriously love that song. I haven't heard that much of Johnny Cash, but that song is awesome.

The other ones are the Nails, Pumpkins, and REM songs (I am a complete whore for modern and hard rock radio).

This reminds me I have a story soundtrack I need to put togather a concrete track list for.

You should definitely listen to some other things by him, he's fabulous. I recommend I Hung My Head and Sam Hall especially.

Heh, that's a good thing. You clearly have good music taste. And oh, story soundtrack, that sounds cool. Details?

*makes note to check out those songs*

Usually my multi-chapter fics come with their own soundtrack, mostly songs that inspired the story or songs that fit the overal theme. I am working on a track list for my story Calculated Risks and I've got some Disturbed, Rufus Wainwright, Robert Plant, and Coldplay among others on reserve for it, though I'm trying to work out the dull track order.

*_* I'm so glad that you like my pictures enough to use them for your own purposes. And the FST is really great! I'll download the songs at home. I know Losing My Religion (and Mikami Concertino, obviously)... it does suit Teru very well. In a sad way. ;;;

They're beautiful, and this one had enough white space that I could have text without having to know very much about graphics myself. :D I'm glad you don't mind my using it, I would have asked first but I sort of thought you wouldn't mind...? And yeah, Losing My Religion fits disturbingly well, poor guy. That's... essentially what happens to him, after all. Anyway, I highly recommend the other songs, especially the Johnny Cash and Smashing Pumpkins. :D

Late comment is late! Oh, this sounds so awesome! ♥ NINE INCH NAILS AND JOHNNY CASH. ♥ Also, the bonus track is made of win. Clearly, the song was written for him. I had no idea you listened to REM! That's awesome! ♥ Thanks again! This made my day, um, evening! -Hugs!- <3 My icon has never been more appropriate. XD;

XD; I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yes, of course the song was written about him! Man, they did a song about Clarissa Explains It All, they are down with pop culture. Eheheh, not really. And...I guess I only know two songs by REM, but I do really like both those songs.

Appropriate icon is win. XD; I guess this one matches...?

REM and Smashing Pumpkins! Although I have not heard of The Kinks for such a long time...Johnny Cash too.

Thanks for this! I like downloading fanmixes lately! Make more about DN characters because I'd like to hear songs that suit them and you've done a good job choosing <3

I adore Johnny Cash, he's one of the few country singings who I think is absolutely fucking amazing. The man covered a Nine Inch Nails song, which is so incredibly different from his usual genre, he's got to get some credit for that.

Heh, well I have a lot of requests left to fill on the meme, so I'll be making more--go ahead and request something if there's a particular character you want!
