I liked this chapter a lot, L is somehow a bit darker here. Not necessarily in a evil!dark way, just that right now he seems/feels more of a suspect than Light, albeit for very different reasons.
And I found his quick decision to kiss Light to be very much in-character. This is what I love about both of them, swift thinking, analysing possible outcomes and then acting accordingly :)
