honestly it was dissappointing. I am always trying to remember that I am not objective when it comes to L's character *g*, but what he told the Wammy children felt a bit OOC to me (maybe you had other complaints about the chapter, though). Ok, so having the thrill of solving a puzzle as an important part of the motivation is definitely in character for him, but doing it just as a pastime doesn't exactly fit with some of the previous moments in the manga, imho. I don't think someone like L would risk his life with no other motivation...but then again, I am probably subjective *g*
