Hmm, it makes sense! My eyesight is actually 100% good, so I don't even know how it feels when you can't see things quite clearly... but yeah, it's probably pretty bad if he needs them all the time. I wonder how he feels when he takes them off for some TV program recording (since he does show up on TV without them... because Obata-sensei was still working on his design back then xD;;;).

L's self-loathing was almost shocking! I mean, canonically, it's... not a very typical state for him, sometimes he feels lost and confused, yes, but for different reasons. Still, it was believable and very painful. Poor asocial genius. ;_;
