That was pretty much one of the first things I noticed about him--but that's fairly typical of me. He's very small, which is normal, but the fact that even in the bonus chapter, at age 23 or so, he looks like he's 13...? That says something to me. And he's almost never seen standing up, so I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with his leg muscles--even if it's only that they're weak because he hardly uses them, there's some problem there. And thanks, I'm glad you think I wrote him well...I've never really written from his perspective before, so I was kind of nervous.

There is no type of person who's parents are murdered, but it seems to me like his stunted emotions could have been brought on in part by a traumatic event. And while that could something else entirely, I just don't get that feeling. I get the feeling that Mello was abused, and I tend to write him that way. I have nothing consistent for the other orphans.
