dn_contest, using the prompt children. It's my second shot at writing Mikami's mom, and the way I write her is pretty similar to how I wrote her in The Mother Of The Law. In this story, Teru comes down with the flu, and his belligerant mother must deal with him. This isn't exactly the story I was planning, but my original idea would have taken way too long to write.
( He's paler than the white floor tiles that he spent Sunday bleaching, and he's panting like a dog. )
